What is Skin Camouflage?
Skin camouflage, also known as scar camouflage, is a paramedical tattooing procedure designed to effectively conceal scarring caused by conditions such as Stretch Marks, Post Surgery, Self-Harm, Vitiligo, and similar skin traumas. The technique involves using specially mixed pigments that match and complement the skin, reducing the visibility of scars.
Medical tattooing, including scar cover-up, has a profound impact on both mental and physical well-being. This approach offers a tailored solution for addressing skin traumas or imperfections, yielding natural-looking and easily achievable results.
How many sessions will you need?
Typically, one session provides around 50% coverage, which may be satisfactory for many clients. However, additional sessions might be necessary to achieve the desired outcome. A minimum of two sessions is recommended, though more may be required based on individual needs.
Is skin camouflage suitable for me?
Determining the suitability for Skin Camouflage involves a thorough consultation process before scheduling the procedure. This is essential to ensure alignment with your expectations and goals. Optimal results are typically achieved when addressing flat, white scars that are lighter than your natural skin tone. It’s important to note that certain scar types, including Hypertrophic Scars, Atrophic Scars, Keloid Scars, and instances of Hyperpigmentation, are not treatable.
